IITK COVID Student Survey

Overview

This survey is intended for those students who were residing on campus in April 2021, and were instructed to vacate the campus by 26th April, 2021. If you were not on campus at this time, please skip this survey.

This survey is regarding your well being and circumstances in the two weeks from the end of April. The objective of this study is to quantify the impact of the pandemic on the well-being of students, their families and communities; and to understand the impact traveling at this time has had on them. In recent trends towards data driven policy making, we hope to collect this data to better inform policy makers and contribute to scientific knowledge that can help us combat COVID-19 collectively. This study is being conducted independently by postgraduate student volunteers of IITK.

Privacy

1. This data is being collected solely for the purpose of research.
2. All data collected for this study will be anonymized, and stripped of any uniquely identifying information unique to you, such as your email address or roll number.
3. All data will be analyzed only after it is anonymized and pooled together with data from other participants of this study.
4. Any follow up data that is required about you or your participation beyond what you provide now will be requested for through email(s) to you and not obtained from alternate sources.
5. The data collected for this study will solely be used for the purposes stated on this page, and will not be shared with any third-party for any other reason, unless with explicit consent from the participants.
6. This study is organized independently by students currently enrolled in IIT Kanpur, and is not officially organised or endorsed by the institute.
7. You can write to the organiser(s) of the study in the contact provided on the page in case you have any questions about the study, how your data will be used, stored, processed and retained.
8. No personally identifiable data will be retained beyond 1 year from the time of data collection, unless consent from participants is received for the same.
9. By filling the details in this study, you agree to give the researchers free and informed consent that you wish to participate in this study and understand the purpose and terms of data usage as stated above.
10. There is no financial reimbursement for participation in this study.
